Concerns About Reporting to Law Enforcement:

  • If you have concerns about reporting your situation to law enforcement, you can request an examination and are not required to speak with any law enforcement about the assault.

*Note that under Utah State Law, the nurse is obligated to report the crime, but the choice to speak with law enforcement is up to you.

Active Members of Military:

  • If you are an active member of the military, you may choose the 'Restricted" reporting option. This means that you may have an examination with evidence collection, and choose to not have the crime reported to the military law enforcement or commander at the current time.

For this option, you should contact the SAPR ( (Sexual Assault Prevention and Response) Office at 1-801-777-1985.
